wardriving bots
we have launched a new project to build wardriving bots.
here are some idea's about this new project and what is the main target of this "bot"
 
What the Hell is a wardriving bot
wardriving-bot's are autonomous systems that are installed in a train, car, bus, taxi or truck and collect wardriving data's, like SSID, GPS-data, MAC address and all other stuff, that kismet can handle. after collecting this data, encrypting, the bot try to send this information back to the Bot-Handler with using a "open" accespoint or a HotSpot.

because it's stupid to drive arround with the car, lets do this other persons or systems.
and it's a new idea. ;-)
 
have fun with wardriving bots
if you make a packet with a wardriving bot inside, you can realy track your packet during his shipping with FedEx, DHL or with what ever you like.
and if you have a mic or camera integrated, maybe you can recive live pics and sound from the location of your wardriving bot
 
hard and software
our first bot is based on OpenBSD and kismet, with some homemade scripts on a WRAP or Soekis Board with 2 MiniPCI cards and external antennas.
 
 
function overview
bot is collection information with wireless and GPS (optional bluetooth and/or webcam / RFID) and store it on the local disk (in our sample a 1 GB CF card) and send this information back, if the can connect to a Wireless connection (optional with a Mobile phone). maybe he recive information about successfull data transfer, and delet the local data, or recice a software update.

Next Steps
we are looking for new ideas and we have to solve a lot of open points. One of the main problem is, to have enouth power druing a long time.
